Yes. Minhaj Kids is designed for children at every starting point, including complete beginners. The Level 1 curriculum begins with Arabic letter recognition, correct pronunciation, and the foundational rules of Tajweed before any recitation is introduced. Children aged 5 to 8 start with Noorani Qaida and short surahs, building phonetic accuracy before moving forward. No prior knowledge of Arabic or Quran is required to enrol.

Every Minhaj tutor holds a confirmed ijaza — a certified chain of Quranic transmission that connects their recitation back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Tutors are trained in Tajweed instruction, child engagement, and safeguarding compliance for online learning environments. Parents are not enrolling their child with a good reciter. They are enrolling them with a verified scholar who teaches for a living.

Minhaj classes are capped at 5–8 students per group. In a small live group, a tutor can correct each child's pronunciation individually, track memorisation progress weekly, and build the kind of relationship that makes a child want to return to class. Large group settings common in weekend mosque schools make individual correction nearly impossible.

Minhaj Kids accepts children aged 5 to 16. The curriculum is structured into three levels: Beginner (Juz Amma), Intermediate (Juz 28 to 30), and Advanced (Ajza 25 to 27). Placement is based on ability, not age. A 12-year-old who has never studied Quran formally will begin at Level 1 alongside their correct peer group. The automated assessment at enrolment ensures every child is placed where they can succeed, not where their age suggests they should be.
